GHOST // SIGNAL Operator Manual
SIGNAL / OPERATOR DOCUMENTATION

WORK THE INTERCEPTION DECK.

Two complete standalone applications, two separate project JSON formats, genuinely owned outputs, and one practical discipline: turn relevant messages into honest acquisition experiments.

Start small, then go deep: identify a buyer → write three creative hypotheses → publish an asset if useful → record response → save the working project.

These instructions describe features that exist in this development build, not hypothetical automatic AI or marketing integrations.

01 / CHOOSE THE JOB

Is this an idea problem or an asset problem?

Attention Intercept Lab is for thinking: buyer/moment fit, alternative opening frames, channel context, test hypotheses and results. Attention Card Studio is for making: editable branded artwork for a three-card publication sequence. You may use either independently. No shared state between them is assumed.

02 / START WITHOUT AI

Everything useful works in your browser.

Both applications use native HTML/CSS/JavaScript without paid APIs, user accounts or remote fonts. The Lab’s hook variants are locally generated from transparent patterns, not AI-written or automatically validated messages. The Card Studio’s PNG is rendered locally from the same SVG as its preview.

03 / LAB: CONTEXT

Give the mechanism something real to work with.

  1. Name a specific buyer situation rather than a broad demographic label.
  2. Record the current moment and meaningful friction. These three inputs are required to generate candidate routes.
  3. Add a desired outcome, offer and actual proof where available.
  4. Write a helpful next step and optional full HTTP(S) destination.
  5. Choose Generate to move into the creative workbench.

A demo is available, but every demo fact is fictional and clearly marked.

04 / LAB: EDIT THE ROUTES

Make three materially different possibilities.

Choose one of six creative frameworks, a channel context and a direct, curious or bolder voice. The tool generates three editable openings, supporting explanations and rationale notes. Select A/B/C to inspect each one. Revise anything that sounds unnatural, repetitive or unsupported. Switching framework does nothing until you explicitly regenerate; this avoids silently overwriting your edits.

Channel treatments are illustrative reading contexts, not replicas or performance forecasts of specific platforms.

05 / LAB: FIELD TEST

Measure actual responses, not imaginary points.

  1. Write an explicit hypothesis, placement and review window.
  2. Publish or deliver a permitted message outside Ghost.
  3. Enter impressions/exposures, clicks, replies and qualified enquiries where known.
  4. Leave missing figures blank; blank is not zero.
  5. Inspect descriptive counts and rate calculations only where actual denominators are given.
  6. Export the field brief or CSV and review limitations.

The application deliberately does not claim statistical significance or declare a winning angle.

06 / LAB: FILES

Editable project versus delivery brief.

Save JSON stores buyer context, variants and field observations; it can be imported through Load JSON in the same tool. The TXT brief is a human-readable campaign plan. The CSV contains user-entered counts. None of these automatically populates your Ghost Control project or your other applications.

07 / CARD STUDIO: CONTENT

Build a complete three-card sequence.

  1. Enter your brand name and audience.
  2. Edit the three cards: Interrupt, Insight and Next Step.
  3. Each card has an editable headline, supporting message, small label, final line and companion caption.
  4. Use the preview’s 01/02/03 controls to switch cards. Changes are reflected in the actual exported artwork.

Write useful copy. The builder does not invent a credible customer testimonial, SEO ranking or research finding on your behalf.

08 / CARD STUDIO: DESIGN

Create a design that matches your business.

Choose among eight creative recipes that vary composition and ornament. Adjust background, text and accent colours independently, select typography, alignment and visual energy, and preview four output sizes: square, portrait, landscape and story. The colour controls check text/background contrast and can suggest a more readable ink colour.

The editor’s Light/Dark switch changes only the editor. It does not overwrite the brand colours of member-owned images.

09 / CARD STUDIO: EXPORT

Export the real asset and the working source.

PNG exports a raster image at the selected pixel dimensions using the browser canvas. SVG exports a self-contained, scalable graphic. Three-card gallery HTML exports one portable page containing all three complete graphics (once all three headlines are written). Caption TXT saves the companion post copy. Save JSON keeps your text and design settings editable. Exported graphics use the colours and wording you choose.

10 / REVIEW BEFORE POSTING

Check technical and ethical readiness.

  1. Confirm brand name, spelling, contrast and exact public URL.
  2. Inspect the image at realistic phone size; short words often outperform tiny paragraphs in a card.
  3. Verify the headline and associated caption deliver the promised useful information.
  4. Confirm any statistics, testimonials, external claims and deadlines are real and appropriately attributed.
  5. Follow channel rules and never auto-post content where promotion is prohibited.
  6. Record the asset in Ghost’s Territory manually if you wish; browser tools cannot detect publication.
11 / BACKUP AND PRIVACY

Understand where work lives.

Each tool attempts an optional browser-local autosave, which may be restricted or isolated for local files or private browsing. Durable work means keeping a downloaded JSON backup. Every tool uses its own versioned project format; do not interchange them. Nothing is uploaded to a server by these applications. Public material is delivered only if you decide to share or host it.

12 / TROUBLESHOOTING

Common obstacles and their meaning.

No routes generated? Supply buyer, moment and pain first. PNG unavailable? Try the SVG export; some browser restrictions interfere with canvas conversion. Gallery refused? Give all three cards real headlines and use legible contrast. Old edits missing? Import your saved JSON; browser autosave is only a convenience. Nothing changed when selecting an angle? Use Generate to deliberately replace the three editable drafts.

Need a smarter interactive lead magnet? The separate Prompt Tool Factory may be relevant once you need custom software; it is not required to use the included Ghost applications.

Keep creative honest, measurable and reusable.

A beautiful graphic is an output. A useful acquisition asset is one that communicates real value, reaches a suitable audience and supports a sensible next move. Use the Lab, the Studio and the Observatory together to build that discipline.
